Christmas Critters

Merry Christmas from all of us! We hope you are having a lovely day. Ours started a bit colder than anticipated – our heating’s not working. We’ve lit a fire instead and everyone is cosy. It’s Einstein’s first Christmas and quite frankly this wrapping paper business is just awesome.

Ernest has seen it all before but thinks it’s best to just keep an eye on things – particularly that pesky kitten. Shackleton hates Christmas. He has been suspicious ever since the tree went up and has restreated to the bedroom. He may be persuaded to come out for a bit of beef later.

The sheep get an energy lick bucket for Christmas and our black faced 4 horn ewe was definitly keep – Brough keeping his distance initially. The ram lambs all seemed ok including the one that was attacked a few days ago – he’s still hobbling, maybe he always will. The gimmer lambs were also happy but all but one eating from the same food trough, leaving this little one with a Christmas feast

While the black faced ewe enjoyed the energy lick, Brough nibbled at a branch with the two shearling ewes watching on.

It’s always nice when a present is well received and I think the energy lick bucket was a success. Merry Christmas everyone!
